Dr.
Martin Cohen has worked as a zoologist and
wildlife commentator in Australia’s tropics for over 15
years. During this time he has conducted numerous wildlife surveys
and research (including a PhD on cane toads), and undertaken
biodiversity monitoring programs. He has also worked with community
conservation groups, guided eco-tours all over Australia, written
countless popular wildlife articles and presented wildlife and
conservation talks to people from all walks of life.
Recently,
Martin has researched and presented wildlife information on television
and radio and was the Senior Researcher for the successful and
popular BBC/ABC Natural History Unit’s award-winning six-part
series on Australasian wildlife entitled ‘Wild Down Under’/‘Wild
Australasia’. With his extensive wildlife background, Martin
knows tropical Australia and its wildlife and there is no one
better to guide people into this mystical world.

Born in England, Julia Cooper worked
on her first wildlife film shoot when she was two! She grew up
in the wildlife filming industry and was completely immersed
in wildlife and its portrayal to people from a very young age.
Julia completed an Honours degree in broadcasting studies and
worked on numerous successful and popular BBC wildlife programs.
Julia has also traveled extensively including Australia where
she worked as a researcher on several series including the biggest
wildlife series ever undertaken – the BBC/ABC Natural
History Unit’s landmark ‘Wild Down Under’/‘Wild
Australasia’.
Julia now resides in tropical Australia and
has already developed an excellent knowledge and love affair
with its wildlife. Julia possesses that unique ability to explain
complex biological or ecological processes in an uncomplicated
way. After years of working with wildlife and in wildlife television,
Martin & Julia
have created Wild about Australia,
an innovative business that is designed to meet all your wildlife
needs in the Australasian region. |

Tim
Parker built up a successful
creative design practice in the UK before settling in Cairns with
his family in 2000, becoming an Australian citizen and establishing Pembroke
Graphics. The emphasis
of this business has been to provide high quality design solutions
for small & medium
business, government agencies and the creative sector through excellence
in design applications, attention to detail and a well honed design
flair.
Since arriving in the Far North Tim has specialised in producing
interpretive maps and graphics for the tourism sector -
including involvement in major projects for the Queensland Heritage
Trails Network, TTNQ, EPA, Wet Tropics Management Authority,
Australian Rainforest Foundation as well as private Eco-tourism
businesses. To compliment his graphic design skills, Tim
also has a background in illustration, cartooning and the production
of hand-drawn illustrative maps - and in recent years he has
diversified into web sites, flash animation and computer
generated 3-D graphics. |
